This will give you a good grounding in, and overview of: Biblical beginnings, worship, wisdom, prophecy, the Gospel of Jesus, the history of the early church, Christian theology, and an Apostle’s letter to one congregation. Read one chapter per day of the following books in this order:
Genesis – 50 chapters: the origin of everything, including humans, and God’s relationship with us both before and after we fell from grace;
John – 21 chapters: the ministry of Jesus and his apostles and how He came to redeem the world;
Psalms 1-50 – 50 chapters: written mostly by King David, these are the lyrics to worship songs and contain much inspiration for day-to-day living;
Proverbs – 31 chapters: written mostly by King Solomon, these are words of wisdom for living an effective and productive life;
Ephesians – 6 chapters: written by the great evangelist Paul to Christians in Ephesus to teach about Jesus, salvation, and how to live the Christian life;
Psalms 51-100 – 50 chapters: written mostly by King David, these are the lyrics to worship songs and contain much inspiration for day-to-day living;
Romans – 13 chapters: written by Paul, this is the Bible’s most comprehensive and deep writing about Christian theology;
Isaiah – 66 chapters: one of Israel’s greatest prophets with many profound predictions about the coming Messiah (Jesus) written around 740 B.C.
Psalms 101-150 – 50 chapters: written mostly by King David, these are the lyrics to worship songs and contain much inspiration for day-to-day living;
Acts – 28 chapters: the history of the growth of the early church, the exploits of the apostles, including Paul, and the Holy Spirit’s power in their lives.
